ABOUT STUDIO SEAVIEW
At Seaview, we’ve enjoyed creative success on Broadway, in London’s West End, on film and television, and Off-Broadway. Our journey began with the record-breaking Off-Broadway run of Sweeney Todd at the Barrow Street Theatre, followed by acclaimed revivals of Danny and the Deep Blue Sea starring Aubrey Plaza and Christopher Abbott, and Hold Onto Me Darling starring Adam Driver.
Our success Off-Broadway—and the creative freedom it offers—led us to seek a permanent space where Seaview could operate and program year-round. When the opportunity arose to take over the historic Tony Kiser Theater, we recognized the unparalleled potential to craft immersive, up-close experiences for both artists and audiences. Nestled just off Times Square, the venue offers an intimate haven for storytelling, nurturing bold visions that might otherwise be overshadowed by brighter lights and bigger stages.
With a hospitality-first approach, we partnered with Tony Award-winner Scott Pask, lighting designer Brian Tovar, and design collaborators CB2 and Todd Snyder to reimagine this historic venue. With a refurbished lobby, our Seaview lounge, and the newly minted Bar Petra, audiences are invited to experience a new kind of Off-Broadway—only at Studio Seaview.

A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDERS
Off-Broadway has always held a special kind of magic.
It’s where artists take risks, audiences sit closer, and small moments can carry real weight. Lately, we’ve felt a growing appetite for spaces that feel more personal and invite you in rather than hold you at arm’s length.
Studio Seaview came out of that feeling. We wanted a place where bold work could thrive without needing to fit a mold. A place where the energy between artist and audience is the main event.
The reopening of this beloved and historic building is deeply meaningful to all of us at Seaview, marking not just a new chapter for this space, but also our continued commitment to Off-Broadway. Becoming part of the community of theater owners and operators working to bring stirring, exciting, and bold new stories to the stage is a true honor.
Off-Broadway has long been a bedrock for developing and amplifying the most thrilling theatrical work in New York. It has become a vital part of what we do, and this space aims to carry that spirit forward: an open door for new ideas, surprising encounters, and nights you remember because they felt different.
We hope you feel that the moment you walk in. Welcome to Studio Seaview.
Studio Seaview is a new Off-Broadway home for daring, artist-driven work—an intimate space in the heart of the Theater District, where bold theatrical voices rise and thrilling audience experiences unfold. Formerly the Tony Kiser Theater, this historic venue is now operated by Seaview, whose commitment to boundary-pushing storytelling guides its next act.
