She has designed costumes for Liberation, Swamp Dwellers, Wedding Band, Jordans, Macbeth In Stride, Walden, Amen Corner, Seagull, and Cats: The Jellicle Ball at PAC NYC. Qween founded Black Trans Liberation, organization that provides weekly access, food, groceries and housing resources for the TGNC community. Jean is the author of Revolution is Love: A Year of Black Trans Liberation (Aperture). <h2 class="text--uppercase">MIKAAL SULAIMAN</h2>Sound designerMikaal Sulaiman is a Tony Award-nominated multi-disciplinary artist who works as a sound designer, composer, writer, and director in theatre, tv/film, and podcasts. As a screenwriter, he was most recently in the writers’ room for the soon to be released comedy “#1 Happy Family USA” from A24/Amazon Studios created by Ramy Youssef. He has also been recognized for his original works in theatre, earning the prestigious Creative Capital Award and the CTG Sherwood Award. His sound design has been featured on Broadway productions such as “Enemy of the People” (Jeremy Strong & Michael Imperioli), “Doubt” (Liev Schreiber), “Macbeth” (Daniel Craig & Ruth Negga), “Death of a Salesman” (Wendell Pierce), and the Pulitzer Prize-winning “Fat Ham” co-produced by Colman Domingo and Cynthia Erivo. Favorite dramaturgical collaborations include the development and first productions of Shayok Misha Chowdhury’s Public Obscenities; Heidi Schreck’s What The Constitution Means to Me; Lucas Hnath’s A Doll’s House, Part 2, The Christians, nightnight and Death Tax; Jeff Augustin’s Where The Mountain Meets the Sea, featuring original music by The Bengsons; Anne Washburn’s Shipwreck; Charles Mee’s Under Construction, made with SITI Company; and, with The Mad Ones, Mrs. Murray’s Menagerie and Miles for Mary; among many others. Sarah has previously worked in the artistic offices of the Public, the Jungle Theater, Playwrights Horizons, and Actors Theatre of Louisville, where she curated and developed new work for the Humana Festival of New American Plays.
